So let’s say you accidentally write on the whiteboard with a permanent marker instead of the whiteboard marker because you just finished labeling a Ziploc bag full of breast milk you pumped and perhaps you didn’t sleep that well last night because your child still wakes up every three hours. Do not fret! All you have to do is use the whiteboard marker to color over the area that you wrote (with sharpie) and erase like normal and voila! No more sharpie writing stuck on your whiteboard! In our case, I was able to erase Ziplocs (although, I’m pretty sure we’ll always need them… it’s nice to be able to erase!)
This also works on other plastic surfaces that you may have accidentally written on with sharpie, e.i. Tupperware. Our Tupperware is no longer labeled, “Beef Stew, Feb ’10”! Yay!
Guess who taught me this trick? Brian! As he is easily wiping off the whiteboard he says, “You think guys in the Army never f$%k this up?” Who knew!?
